Celebrity Apprentice season 5 participant and Guinness Book of World Record holder for “Most Downloaded Podcast”, Adam “Ace Man” Carolla graced the historic Carolina Theatre’s stage Thursday night. As the lights dimmed, a video and photo montage of Carolla’s life was displayed on the screen. After the montage, the age diverse crowd gave him a hearty round of applause as he walked on the empty stage carrying a bottle of water and of course a beer.

“Ace Man” started the performance off explaining the “joys” of parenthood at Christmas time, how difficult the toy manufacturers make it to remove the toys from the packaging and how one never has the right batteries needed for all the new toys the kids want to play with.  This led to him talking about an appearance he made on the Jay Leno show with Queen Latifah and how he got in trouble by mentioning lineman dyke cutters.

  

As I left the theatre, Carolla began talking about the time he escorted the Dixie Chick’s lead singer Natalie Manes to the Grammys. This led to an ongoing practical joke by his “Man Show” Co-host Jimmy Kimmel.
