Paula Poundstone has always had an esoteric fashion style so it was no real surprise when she appeared on stage wearing black and white wing tips, a tuxedo suit and a red 101 Dalmatians tie which matched well with her shocking red lipstick. After quickly greeting the audience, Poundstone dove right into her free flow style comedy routine. Touching all area of life including her children, the South Carolina Republican primary election, British Royalty and even the fact that she does not have a savings account.
The crowd enjoyed every line. Poundstone even struck up a conversation with a patron who was sitting in the box seats above the stage. Poundstone asked if Duke University’s hospital was a teaching hospital. One person shouted out that it was not a teaching hospital to the surprise and merriment of all, including Poundstone.
